The first limited edition was made in the spirit of the decade between 1969 and 1979, and now we have got the second piece inspired by the decade between 1979 and 1989. Like each of the five lines that TAG Heuer is releasing, this one will also be released in a limited edition of 169 pieces. This model is specifically associated with the 24-hour race of Les Mans and the now ubiquitous 1971 Le Mans film starring Steve McQueen.

However, it's not just the red dial that sets this version apart. The rhodium-plated chronograph sub-dials have curved edges and not the more traditional square edges seen on other Monaco watches.

Just as with the standard TAG Heuer Monaco, the watch is housed in a 39mm wide stainless steel case and runs on the Caliber 11 movement. almost a ruby ​​red. According to TAG Heuer, this red is meant to invoke the "speed and style" part of Munich's history. Can't argue about it.
